O lançamento de um novo título do ''Jackson 5'' está presente em uma compilação exclusivamente em formato digital [ouça o áudio acima].
A Motown Records completou 60 anos este ano e, para comemorar o aniversário, a gravadora está lançando a Motown Unreleased: 1969, uma compilação digital com 60 gravações de estúdio inéditas de 1969. Isso inclui faixas indisponíveis ou nunca ouvidas de pessoas como Supremes, das Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Jackson 5 e Gladys Knight.
"A Motown está claramente evoluindo neste momento", disse Harry Weinger, vice-presidente de A&R da Universal Music Enterprises, que supervisionou o projeto. “Há uma abertura para escritores e produtores experimentarem o som da Motown, mas para certos tópicos, ideias musicais ou até artistas, a empresa não está pronta. Ou é um caso simples de ter apenas tantos slots para lançamentos. Então, até agora, essas músicas não foram lançadas.”
Todas as faixas da coleção foram masterizadas pela primeira vez a partir de suas fitas analógicas originais, e metade delas foi mixada pela primeira vez neste lançamento.
